My approach

From a single project to ongoing consultation, I aim to assist with all the technology in your life. I’m flexible and can be as involved as you see fit.  Some customers leverage me for advice and guidance as they put a plan in place while others prefer that I handle everything from start to finish (planning, purchasing, installation, setup).  Most of my customers appreciate an ongoing relationship, checking in regularly given that technology changes rapidly and throws us inevitable curveballs.

I take a needs based approach, honed over my years as a product manager in the tech industry.  This means I always start with an assessment of your goals, challenges and priorities.  It sounds simple, but it’s common for us to start with solutions (“I want to set up a Sonos speaker system”) instead of needs (“I want to host better parties, with background music throughout my house, and the ability for guests to control the playlist”).  Taking this critical step back to clearly define your needs allows me to then present multiple possible solutions with varying levels of cost, convenience and pros / cons to consider.
